Medical Director
Jesse Neeley, D.O.

Dr. Jesse Neeley is the medical director of CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, where he oversees the medical staff and ensures patients are appropriate for inpatient rehabilitation. He is board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine.
Previously, Dr. Neeley was the medical director of the physical medicine and rehabilitation department at the University of Texas, San Antonio. In that role, he managed patient care at the inpatient rehabilitation hospital, supervised the inpatient consultation service and provided education to resident physicians and medical students.
Additionally, Dr. Neeley served in the U.S. Army. He joined in 1990, initially serving as an active-duty soldier deployed during the Gulf War. In 2012, he accepted an Army-funded medical school scholarship. As an Army physician, he worked at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he treated soldiers injured in the Gulf War and gained expertise in advanced trauma management and pain management.
Dr. Neeley earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and exercise from Colorado State University and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas at San Antonio and achieved subspecialty board certification in brain injury medicine in 2018.
